StillSafe is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
StillSafe is fully conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AAA. Fully conformant means that the content fully conforms to the accessibility standard without any exceptions.
Accessibility Features
StillSafe includes the following accessibility features:
Visual
- Color contrast ratios meet or exceed 7:1 for normal text and 4.5:1 for large text (WCAG Level AAA)
- Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- No content flashes more than three times per second
- Visual focus indicators are clearly visible on all interactive elements
- Content does not rely on color alone to convey information
- Support for Windows High Contrast mode and forced colors
Motor
- All functionality is available via keyboard navigation
- Touch targets are at least 44x44 CSS pixels
- No timing-dependent interactions are required
- Users can pause, stop, or extend any time limits
- Skip navigation links allow bypassing repetitive content
Cognitive
- Clear, consistent navigation throughout the site
- Descriptive headings and labels
- Form inputs have associated labels and helpful error messages
- Plain language is used wherever possible
- Content is organized with logical heading structure
Assistive Technology
- All images have appropriate alternative text
- ARIA landmarks identify page regions
- Dynamic content changes are announced to screen readers
- Form validation errors are announced
- Compatible with popular screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver)

Limitations and Alternatives
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of StillSafe, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions:
- Third-party content: Some embedded content from third parties (such as maps) may not be fully accessible. We provide text alternatives where possible.
- PDF documents: Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. Please contact us if you need information from a PDF in an alternative format.
