StillSafe caches your GPS location data when you're out of cell range and uploads it when you regain signal. For areas with no cell coverage, we recommend setting a longer duration and grace period. The app also works with satellite communicators if you have one.

Simply tap "Extend" to add more time to your adventure. You can extend multiple times if needed. There's also a grace period (15-60 minutes, your choice) before alerts are sent.

You choose your emergency contacts and can select specific contacts for adventure alerts. They receive your last known GPS coordinates, adventure details (trail, vehicle, equipment), and a link to view your location on a map.

StillSafe uses efficient low-power GPS tracking. On a typical 4-hour hike, expect about 5-10% additional battery usage. We recommend starting with a full charge for longer adventures.
